Conditions We Support
Anxiety & Depression Retreat
Intensive, daily therapeutic support for adults whose anxiety or depression has not responded adequately to outpatient treatment. A residential format that allows for deeper, more consistent work.
When Weekly Therapy Is Not Enough
If you have been managing anxiety or depression with weekly therapy, medication, or self-help strategies and you are still struggling, you are not failing at recovery — you may simply need a more intensive format.
Our residential programme offers multiple therapy sessions per week, daily structure, and a supportive community — all in an environment designed to reduce the external stressors that exacerbate anxiety and depression. This is not a replacement for ongoing care; it is an intensive period designed to create a breakthrough when outpatient treatment has plateaued.
How We Support Anxiety & Depression
Intensive 1:1 Therapy
Multiple sessions per week with your dedicated counsellor, using integrative approaches tailored to your presentation. We explore not just symptoms but the underlying patterns, beliefs, and experiences that maintain them.
EMDR for Underlying Trauma
Anxiety and depression often have roots in unprocessed traumatic experiences. Where appropriate, EMDR can help reduce the emotional charge of these memories, creating space for your current symptoms to ease.
Structured Daily Routine
Depression thrives in chaos and isolation. Our daily programme provides gentle structure — regular meals, therapy sessions, mindfulness practice, and social contact — without being rigid or overwhelming.
Therapeutic Community
Isolation makes both anxiety and depression worse. Living alongside others who understand your experience — without judgement — is itself a powerful therapeutic intervention. Connection is medicine.
What We Do and Do Not Provide
We want to be clear about the scope of our care so you can make an informed decision.
- We provide intensive psychological therapy in a supportive residential environment
- We do NOT prescribe medication or provide psychiatric diagnosis
- If you are currently on medication, we support you in continuing it — we do not advise stopping without your prescribing doctor’s guidance
- If your depression involves active suicidal ideation or self-harm, you may need a higher level of care than we provide — please contact us to discuss
The Silkworth Project Thailand is a therapeutic retreat, not a psychiatric hospital or medical facility.
